Is Nube anonymous?
==================

Nube provides **Privacy**, but not necessarily **Anonymity**. While all data is encrypted and there are no central servers logging your activity, your IP address is visible to the peers you connect with (just like BitTorrent).

Where is my data stored?
========================

By default, your Nube data is stored in ``~/.local/share/nube/store``. This is a BadgerDB database containing all your file chunks.

What happens if I lose my keys?
===============================

Your identity is tied to the cryptographic keys in your storage directory. **If you delete your store without a backup, you lose your identity.** In a future version, we will implement identity recovery phrases.

Does Nube work behind a NAT/Firewall?
=====================================

Yes. Nube uses libp2p's hole-punching and relay capabilities to establish connections even when both users are behind restrictive firewalls.

How much data can Nube handle?
==============================

Nube is designed for high performance. Large folders (thousands of files) and large files (multiple gigabytes) are handled efficiently using Content-Defined Chunking (CDC).

Where is user identity and session info stored?
===============================================

User profile and privacy configurations are stored across the following secure locations:

* **User Profile & Privacy Settings:** Stored in ``~/.config/nube/config.yaml`` under the keys ``profile_name``, ``profile_email``, ``profile_phone``, and ``share_identity``.
* **Swarm Session Token:** Stored inside ``~/.local/share/nube/store/session`` (with restricted ``0600`` file permissions).
* **FUSE and Data Blocks:** Kept inside the BadgerDB database at ``~/.local/share/nube/store``.
